A brilliant shelter had been constructed by the lads, the green woodworker and his mate. The design was contemporary and very site specific, fitting into the front lawn of the school under the trees. It has created an amazing communal space for everyone.

The Marland School Project Visit
The Boot Up! team were invited to come and have a look at a small project supported by Aimhigher at a special school for boys in North Devon.
We were given some guidance as to how to finish our cob oven at Boot Up! and then we lit a fire in the one in the shelterThe boys had sculpted a fantastic otter out of clay on the top of the oven - the otter is the school emblem
Then we all got down to making pizzas and cooking them. Maybe it was the fresh air and all the lovely ingredients but they tasted sooooooo good
