The we covered it with wet newspaper so the clay would stick to it - but it didn't and the clay slip did exactly that - slipped!

Cob Oven - Our turn!
After working with the project at Marland, we decided to have a go at starting our own cob pizza oven. After building the base out of stone from our site, we laid a heatproof layer by using recycled bricks from the inside of an old storage heater.
The we covered it with wet newspaper so the clay would stick to it - but it didn't and the clay slip did exactly that - slipped!
