First blog of growing thoughts...

Space to grow
Growing place

A plot of land, bordered with rabbit proof fencing, holly, oak, tall firs. Overgrown and beautiful.
Base-camp has been (temporarily) formed in poly-tunnel 1, after a hot first day of clearing undergrowth; leaving, transplanting, uprooting as necessary.
A path cleared, and another. How far to prune and strim?
Wanting to maintain the spaces character...
Naming areas after things found there: robin, admiral, clod...
Two buzzards soaring, circling overheard, cry, dance and circumnavigate our field, as we do the same. Getting to know it.
The places we have cleared already sprouting back- tiny seedlings.
Plants found: apples, raspberries, fennel, currents, gooseberry, grape vines
Uncovering and discovering. Soil turned. Decisions made (invasive weed or valuable crop? plough ahead with clearing or leave enclosed spaces?)
Value...
Who decides?

A community begins...
